Jennings Little Duke Nickel Slot Machine From The 1930's:
$2,265

An american jennings little duke penny slot machine, second quarter 20th century 26in.

This sale is for a Jennings's Little Duke 5-cent slotmachine from the 1930's. These werepretty unique machines in their day with their unique reel configuration andclassic Art Deco styling. Little Dukes were never made in large numbers and assuch are scarce machines. Most of the Little Dukes made were penny machines, denominationshigher than 1-cent are quite rare and seldom seen. This is a rare machine just by being a nickelbut is it also has the triple jackpot feature and a side mounted gum ballvendor. This machine is original except the reelstrips and the pay card are reproductions; I suspect the back door is areproduction and the lock in the door is not original either. The gum vendor has had the linkage to themachine removed which means it gives a gum ball without playing themachine. Because of this I thought thegum vendor might be a reproduction as well but I took it off the machine andlooked inside and I do not believe it to be a reproduction. When I took it off I mislaid the screws thatwe holding it so I had to use new screws to put it back on. The cash box is abit banged up but it is an original.Otherwise the machine plays and pays the way it should, the numbers onthe casting match the label inside and the mechanism is all original. This is a rare version of an interestingmachine and truly no slot machine collection is complete without a LittleDuke. Shipping in the Continental US is$135.00, local pickup in San Diego, CA is available.
